False information from customer service

I ordered two lanterns and was told by several customer service representatives that I would also get reimbursed for original and return shipping costs if I paid insurance on the return. Then I was told by another rep that shipping costs are not covered. I then talked to a supervisor and he assured me the refund would be sent within the next 3-5 days. It NEVER came and I gave up.

SeveraI years ago I ordered two lanterns and they did not work. I received a return authorization number and returned them. After many telephone calls and fax messages telling me the refund would be coming in two weeks, or ten days, or shortly. After all this, I was told no shipping costs would be reimbursed. I finally asked to speak to a supervisor and was transferred to Christopher Brown and he assured me I would receive the refund of product and ALL shipping charges within 3-5 days. It NEVER happened. They are unreliable and not truthful to customers.

Olde Brooklyn Lantern

Commercial promises two but only received one. There is no live person to talk to. When ordering, all we get is a recording asking for credit card numbers etc. From the onset of the phone call, there are only questions and recordings of other product information they are trying to sell you. There is never a choice to speak to a real person. I kept pushing zero with no success. It isnt until you enter your credit or debit card number that you realize you will not be able to speak with anyone. All you get is more commercials to listen to until you get so frustrated you just hang up!! We are spreading the word to all our friends and family not to fall for this scam. The lamp is flimsy and cheap which is the opposite of how it is displayed on TV!!

Never order from this company.

I ordered a lantern on December 20th but the confirmation had me ordering 10. I called to cancel the order right away and was told it was cancelled. On January 30th they charged me $133 for 10 lanterns. I called to cancel the order and someone that could barely speak English said there is nothing they can do to help me since it had just shipped. The guy said I have to wait for the shipment to arrive, refuse shipment and wait a week for my money to be refunded. I am not even sure I will get my money back.

Defective latern

I ordered 5 Brooklyn Lanterns for Christmas gifts; 4 were fine, but the fifth one does not work. I called the service number fully expecting that I would be asked to return the defective one and get a replacement. Instead I was told I could get a replacement for the cost of a new one plus shipping. I guess that means they are not guaranteed to work. Furthermore, buying a new one does not guarantee that it will work, and, if it doesn't, I am back where I started.I will probably not order any items advertised on t.v.

Brooklyn Lantern-Wake Up

This is to warn people. That lantern claims to stay lit for 100,000 hours. THAT'S OVER ELEVEN YEARS! Do any of you actually think they tested that for ELEVEN YEARS before they put it on the market? If you hear phrases like: 1. But wait... 2. Call now and we'll double your order. 3. Order now and receive... ignore the commercial. Most of that is *** and nothing more than people's get rich quick schemes and you are helping them laugh all the way to the bank. Please don't spend your money on people who knowingly dupe people into giving them money.

Can’t get lantern to work. Put 2 new Duracell batteries in 2 different lanterns and neither one works.

It do not work I tried it doing the sandy storm and no light why did you tell me that it worki am very upset I paied $32.00 and your product is not Sean to work as you said I would like the lantern that do work when the batteries is put in can you explain this too me please the olde Brooklyn lantern ,be better by far and work or get urn the money I paid for them please I do not want two report this to BBB so please do something and give me a better product . They cheated me out of a full refund.

I sent these items back to them since I didn't order them in the first place but that's another story. I called to inquire about my refund only to learn that that I did not qualify to receive the entire amount I paid. Customer service informed me that since the shipping package had been opened I was charged a fee. I never opened the lantern itself. Had I not opened the *** package I would not have known what it was or where to send this *** back to . In addition to that, I paid to have it shipped back! Don't do business with this outfit. It's one of those rip-off companies that will nickel and dime a million plus hard working folks out of their money until they themselves achieve the "American Dream"

So what phone number did you call? I ordered one of these things for a birthday present a while back and they keep saying they are backordered.

All I want to do is cancel my order now and I can't find a way to do this. :( :(

NEWSFLASH, Everyone!

If you get something you didn't order, you get to KEEP IT!!!

Seriously, you should double-check daily until forever, that you haven't been charged, and email them that they can send you a free return ship label if they want back the non order. I'm serious! If they somehow manage to get this put on your credit report (within the realm of possibility), you get to dispute that, too. You didn't order it, and really couldn't say whether you ever received it, and, "what's it 'sposed to be again?". Maybe they'll get the picture they need better organization and discipline in their company (maybe try USA, for filling the orders, let alone manufacturing the junk in the first place).

What a scam.

Pissed off about order not confired no order #

On 11/6/12 was going to order Olde Brooklyn Lantern typed in information & my credit card number the pushed button to go ahead. Then notices appered last on comfirmation of order, I did not confirm and on 11/7/12 I get email letting me know order was being set up for shipping. I did not confirm the order I have to cancel. Return an answer to my complaint, return back to Donald Glasco email bubbaoj@***.net. I never talked to any one did all on computer so there were no names for peaple I might have talked to. Just want order canceled!

Old brooklyn lantern promised two sent one

watched the tv ad called and ordered was told that a brighter unit was avaible said ok.still expected two.recieved only one.was not told anything else. called and was told that the brighter unit wasnt the advertised product.wanted to use the gift card to get a second one but was refused.said i could use it at the site.tried that but the lantern wasnt at the telebrand site so i was taken. only have one lantern that is cheap bilt and i could get better at the local HD store. never order from another tv ad

Did not deliver the product as ordered

Approx. 3 month ago I ordered the advertised Brooklyn lanterns. I was never able to track the order and was unable to talk to anyone at Telebrands. They do that purposely. It is also impossible to e/mail the company. After 2 month of waiting I finally received the 2 lanterns I had ordered. Both lanterns were not in operating condition and I had to send them back which cost me another $10.00. That has been almost 4 weeks and I still as of this date have to hear from Telebrands. I would never recommend anyone to deal with Telebrands.
